Earn 6 credits in Special Topics (MRKG 1391) and Fashion History (FSHD 1311) while exploring Paris with your ACC classmates and Professor Kathy Walton.

What better way to study fashion than at its heart - Paris - where you can gain first-hand experience through the arts, fashion history, and fashion in today’s business world? Consider yourself invited to the France - Fashion study abroad program, an adventure of a lifetime to study the history, culture, art, and future of the fashion world.

SESSION AND DATES

  • Session: First 5-week Summer Session 2021
  • Class at ACC before departure: May 21
  • Program in France: May 24 - June 8

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION

  • 18 years or older by program departure date
  • Good academic standing by end of Fall 2020
  • Prerequisites - None

PROGRAM FEE - $2,200

Includes:

  • Accommodations
  • Workshops
  • Excursions and entrance fees per itinerary
  • Ground transportation
  • Welcome dinner
  • 24/7 logistics support and emergency assistance

Students are also responsible for the following expenses NOT included in the program fee:

  • Round-trip airfare from Austin to Paris
  • ACC course tuition, fees, and books
  • Meals not included in program fee
  • Personal expenses
  • International Student ID Card ($25)
  • Passport and visa fees (if applicable)
  • Vaccinations (if applicable)

A $400 deposit, applied toward program fee, is due within one week of program acceptance.

Program fee payment deadline is due March 22, 2021 via ACC Marketplace.

ACC STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP

Fifty $1,000 ACC Board of Trustees' Study Abroad Scholarships are available to eligible applicants on a competitive basis. Deadline is March 5, 2021.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship ($5,000 maximum, Due 3/2/21)

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

a. Eligible ACC Study Abroad Programs: All
b. Award: Up to $5,000
c. Due Date: March 2, 2021
d. Eligibility Requirements:

i. A citizen of the United States
ii. An undergraduate student at an accredited institution of higher education in the U.S.
iii. Federal Pell Grant Recipient
iv. Participating in a credit bearing study abroad program of at least two weeks in a country or area with an overall Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2

e. Things to Note:

i. Application requires two essays – Statement of Purpose and Community Impact Essay
ii. Critical Needs Language Award – supplemental award of up to $3,000 for studying a critical need language (Japan – Japanese II and Jordan – Arabic II are eligible)

Gilman - McCain Scholarship ($5,000 maximum, Due 3/2/21)

Gilman – McCain Scholarship
a. Eligible ACC Study Abroad Programs: All
b. Award: Up to $5,000
c. Due Date: March 2, 2021
d. Eligibility Requirements:

i. A citizen of the United States
ii. An undergraduate student at an accredited institution of higher education in the U.S.
iii. Dependent child of an active duty military member during time of application
iv. Recipient of any Title IV federal financial aid
v. Participating in a credit bearing study abroad program of at least two weeks in a country or area with an overall Travel Advisory Level 1 or 2

e. Things to Note:

i. Application requires two essays – Statement of Purpose and Community Impact Essay
ii. Critical Needs Language Award – supplemental award of up to $3,000 for studying a critical need language (Japan – Japanese II and Jordan – Arabic II are eligible)
iii. Students completing the Benjamin A Gilman Scholarship Application that indicate they are children of active duty military will automatically be considered for the Gilman – McCain Scholarship.

HI USA Explore the World Scholarship ($2,000, Due TBD)

d. Eligibility Requirements:

i. Be 18-30 years old
ii. Be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
iii. Have a demonstrated financial need
iv. Be planning an upcoming international trip that involves an educational and/or volunteer service component

d. Eligibility Requirement

i. Participating in a study abroad program at a Central Texas university or college other than the University of Texas at Austin.

e. Things to Note:

i. Two scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded
ii. Application requires a short essay
