ACC Celebrates Art Glass Month

AUSTIN — Looking for some “colorful” ways to bring in the spring? Austinites of all ages are invited to enjoy a dazzling array of locally crafted art glass at the “Experience the Color of Light” show, on display from April 7-10 at Austin Community College (ACC). This free event will be held in the lobby of ACC’s district administrative office building at 5930 Middle Fiskville Road.

Co-sponsored by ACC and the Austin Stained Glass Center (ASG) in celebration of Art Glass Month, the show will provide the community an opportunity to appreciate the work of local glass artisans. “This also is an occasion for artisans to meet and share their ideas, techniques and the love of art glass. The show may be of particular interest to students, hobbyists or art glass professionals,” says Albert Perez, ACC coordinator of personal development.

Original stained glass art may be registered free of charge at the Austin Stained Glass Center from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. through April 3. For directions or for more registration information, call Victoria Garley at 459-0698.
