ACC Celebrates Cultural Differences

WHAT: Austin Community College is hosting an International Cultural Festival. Sponsored by the Mexico Trade Center and the International Center of Austin, the event will showcase music and dance performances by student and community-based cultural organizations, international cuisines from area restaurants and participation by local international groups that will share information about their programs.

WHEN: November 15, from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m.

WHERE: Eastview Campus, 3401 Webberville Rd., Multi-purpose Hall,
Bldg. 8000

Background: ACC is a diverse College offering educational opportunities to more than 1,000 international students annually. The College’s International Programs Department not only assists these students, but also offers American students study abroad opportunities in other countries such as Mexico, Peru, Germany, Scotland and the Netherlands.

On November 16th, ACC will host a faculty-led study abroad panel to discuss program opportunities in Mexico, Peru, and Germany. The discussion will take place at the Rio Grande campus from 12:00 – 1:15 p.m. in room 125.
