Background

John Hernandez was recently elected to the Board of Trustees in 2002, Place 2. Hernandez is a real estate broker in Austin and a former auditor with the State of Texas and the City of Austin. He is active in various local organizations, including service as a board member for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Austin, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the YMCA. Hernandez has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration, both from St. Edward’s University.

Nan McRaven was recently elected to the Board in 2002, Place 3. She is currently Vice-President of Communications and Public Affairs at Motorola Inc. She is a former vice president of the Austin Chamber of Commerce and a former director of personnel and budget for Travis County. She has taught at ACC as an adjunct teacher, and has also taught at the University of Texas. She served on the ACC Foundation Board and on the St. Edward’s University Business Council. McRaven has a bachelor’s degree in government from Sam Houston State University and a master’s degree in public affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs.
