WHAT: Austin Community College is officially welcoming Del Valle residents into the district through an Open House that will offer information on the college and its numerous programs and services.

WHEN: Thursday, July 8th, 6 to 8 p.m.

WHERE: ACC’s Riverside Campus, 1020 Grove Blvd.

Background: Last October, the Del Valle Affordable College Coalition collected the signatures of 5% of Del Valle’s registered voters who supported joining ACC’s district. The successful petition drive placed the issue on the May ballot. On Election Day, May 15th, the majority of Del Valle residents voted in favor of joining the ACC district. As a result, Del Valle residents have cut their tuition in half, saving full time students about $1500 per year.

Del Valle residents are invited to learn more about ACC and financial aid opportunities at Thursday’s Open House. Campus tours and assistance with admissions and financial aid applications will be provided.
