ACC Scramble Aims to Keep the Victims of Catastrophic Events In College

Austin Community College is pleased to announce its First Annual ACC Scramble at Riverside Golf Course, Friday, Aug. 18, 2006. The format will be a four-person scramble with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Proceeds will benefit the College’s Student Emergency Fund, which helps students continue in school when faced with a catastrophic situation and will provide emergency book vouchers for students on financial aid.

The Student Emergency Fund has assisted students with medical costs, housing, and living expenses following a natural disaster, fire, or illness. Without this support, some students would have had to withdraw from school. Two recent recipients were evacuees to Austin from New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina. ACC has been fortunate to make this emergency funding available through private contributions. Tournament proceeds will provide an annual revenue stream for this fund.

We invite you to join us and help provide vital assistance for our students. The entry fee is $75 per player or $300 per four-person team, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, soft drinks, and prizes. Hole sponsorships are available for $1,000; you may also sponsor an ACC student team for $300. Sponsorship also affords signage opportunities both on the course and in the player information packet.

Prize donations, such as gift certificates, services or merchandise are also needed.

Click the link below to download the official entry form. If you would like to participate, return the form or contact Alicia Del Rio at (512) 223-7071 by August 9. Please join us Aug. 18 for a great day of golf and a noble cause. If you have questions about other sponsorship opportunities or additional teams, Alicia can also assist you.
