“All Access ACC: An Education Celebration” to Offer Free Learning Opportunities
WHAT: The Austin Community College District is giving Central Texas residents all access to the college’s top-notch programs and quality faculty through a free day-long event filled with hands-on learning, entertainment and many more activities.
WHEN: Saturday, September 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: The new South Austin Campus, 1820 W. Stassney Lane, on the northeast corner of Manchaca and Stassney
DETAILS: Entertainment will be provided by Austin’s own self-proclaimed hardest working band, The Hudsons, Hip-Hop Artist Saul Paul, and the flamenco sounds of Alteza. Visitors can view performances from ACC’s theatre and modern dance departments, and participate in a variety of workshops ranging from floral design and Photoshop, to international business and college success.
Visitors will get hands-on experience with a simulated human being, search and rescue dogs, robots, video and much more.
Funnel cakes, pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, cold drinks and more will be available; great door prizes and face painting will also be offered to guests.
