Austin Community College faculty members Lyman Grant and W. Joe Hoppe have new collections from Dalton Publishing. These poets, both of whom have been active in the Austin poetry scene for years, will read from their latest works and sign copies at BookPeople on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. Complimentary snacks and wine will be served.
Grant, dean of Arts and Humanities, has worked at ACC for nearly 30 years. His essays, reviews, and poetry have appeared in a variety of periodicals and anthologies. His newest work is entitled .
Hoppe, an adjunct faculty member in the Learning Labs, has written poems that appeared in several periodicals. He also created a one-of-a-kind poetry video entitled “$5200 MSTA,” which has been shown at several film festivals. He titled his latest collection .
