The Austin Community College District’s Creative Writing Department presents a reception and performance beginning at 6 p.m. April 4 at the Rio Grande Campus Gallery Theater, third floor.
Claudia Rankine authored four volumes of poetry and co-edited “American Woman Poets in the Twenty-First Century.” She is the recipient of the 2005 Merrill Fellowship from the Academy of American Poetry and is the Henry G. Lee Professor of English at Pomona College.
John Lucas has exhibited artwork in galleries throughout the United States and internationally, including Galarie Marouska in France and La Panaderia in Mexico City. He lives and works in Southern California and is represented by O.K. Harris Works of Art in New York City.
The reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by a performance at 7.
