Austin Community College District faculty members are just two of the featured poets scheduled at this year’s Austin International Poetry Festival, to be held at 1 p.m. April 14 at Huston-Tillotson College, 900 Chicon St.
Lyman Grant, dean of Arts and Humanities, and Learning Labs adjunct W. Joe Hoppe join Ric Williams, Larry D. Thomas, Jill Alexander Essbaum, and Dalton Publishing’s Deltina Hay, among others.
Kicking off the festivities is Ken Jones, Houston poet, professor, and attorney. The event will begin with a fast-paced poetry reading, followed by a panel discussion with the authors and publisher Hay.
The festival will be held at the Agard-Lovinggood Building, Room AL-200. Refreshments will be served.
