Two ACC faculty received Teaching Excellence Awards at Thursday’s 34th annual commencement exercises.
This year’s full-time faculty winner is Julie Kleinhans-Urrutia, associate professor of foreign language. Among the student testimonials were, “She inspires us to show up to class, complete our assignments, and practice, practice, practice.”
Kleinhans-Urrutia received a plaque and a $1,000 check.
Adjunct professor of criminal justice Renearl Bowie, according to his students, is “always professional and observant of sensitive issues but presents the topics and materials in a straightforward manner.”
Bowie received a plaque for the honor.
