Grant Awarded to International Business Institute

The International Business Institute at the Austin Community College District (ACC) recently received a $165,000 grant to provide Austin businesses with resources needed to develop or expand international trade departments.
The grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Education Business and International Education program, will also be used to give ACC international business students export training, practical experience in conducting international trade missions, and the opportunity to network with successful international business leaders.
ACC’s yearlong Export Education and Growth program will consist of eight seminars, two international trade missions, intensive one-on-one coaching, and consultation. The college’s grant partners include the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the International Partnership of Greater Austin, the Camino Real District Export Council and AngelouEconomics.
