Advertising Awards Given

The Visual Communication Department at Austin Community College announces that three students have been recognized for achievement in the regional ADDY awards. The ADDY Awards recognize the best of all types of advertising in over 30 categories and are the world’s largest such industry competition as well as one of the toughest.

Cathy King won a Gold ADDY for Best of Show Packaging for “Possibiliteas.” Also in the Student Design category, ACC student Allyson Lipkin was recognized with a Silver Award for her logo design, and Aaron Bates won a Silver Award for packaging design.

The Austin Advertising Federation 2007 regional ADDY competition honors the best work produced by students, advertising agencies, and creative firms in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. The AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 50,000 professionals as well as 130 corporate members.
