Board Rescinds Student Fee

ACC Board of Trustees Chair John Hernandez

On November 5, the Austin Community College District Board of Trustees voted to rescind a $2 general student fee increase and to restore more than $2 million cut in July from the district’s 2007-2008 operating budget.

The decision follows a recent move by the state to restore vetoed funds for community college employee health benefits totaling $7.2 million for ACC.

The fee adjustment will be effective in time for spring registration, which starts Nov. 12.
