Austin, TX – November 7, 2007 – Dr. Stephen B. Kinslow, president/CEO of the Austin Community College District, will meet with Pat Stanley, U.S. Department of Education deputy assistant secretary for community colleges, in Washington, D.C., today to discuss challenges and successes in workforce education.

This is the first of four meetings on “Issues that Matter to Community Colleges,” a new initiative out of the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Vocational and Adult Education.

Kinslow is among only 20 community colleges presidents selected nationwide whose institutions exhibit innovative approaches to workforce education.
