Student Life Holds Leadership Conference

Austin, Texas – The Austin Community College District’s Student Life Office presents the Engage. Experience. Explore. Leadership Conference for students, faculty, staff, and local professionals beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, February 15, at Eastview Campus, Multi-Purpose Room 8500, 3401 Webberville Road.

This one-day intensive conference is devoted to exchanging ideas on leadership development, diversity, motivation, confliction management, self-awareness, team building, goal setting, and servant leadership.

“If you’re uncertain where your leadership is taking you, or you just want to strengthen your core of learning, this conference covers a variety of topics to ensure your needs are fulfilled,” says Quevarra Moten, ACC Student Life coordinator.

Keynote speakers include Texas Supreme Court Justice Wallace B. Jefferson, a San Antonio resident who is certified in civil appellate law, served as San Antonio Bar president in 1998-99 and received other recognitions such as Outstanding Young Lawyer and the “Pillars of the Foundation” award; and Joshua Fredenburg, an educator, talk-show host, and Generation Y expert who will speak about vision and leadership.
