During peak times of the day, ACC operates three shuttles at Pinnacle to ease parking congestion. Spring 2010 shuttle service begins on January 19, the first day of classes, and continues through May 13. Shuttles run Monday – Thursday between the parking area at the old Albertsons (Oak Hill Plaza at the “Y”) and the campus.
The first shuttle begins making runs at 7 a.m. The second bus begins operating at 8:20 a.m., with the third shuttle coming on at 9 a.m. These shuttles are on continuous rotations throughout their shifts. Two shuttles end operations for the day at 6 p.m., and the third makes rounds until 8 p.m.
According to protocol, when all three shuttles are running, there will always be one shuttle at the old Albertson’s parking area, one at Pinnacle Campus, and the third bus en route between those locations.

Wonderful you finally purchased land adjacent to the Pinnacle for additional parking. There should be a parking garage place on it…not just 200 parking spaces, this is within recharge zones of aquifers. Also the safety of a parking garage is apparent after utilizing the SAC facility. Your charging fees for parking and not providing enough spaces….look at the growth in the area. I have attended ACC since Fall of 1973, on and off over the years, it would seem you would realize the need for parking garages. Even UT has come from the dark ages and utilizes parking garages. We don’t live on campus and have to travel to school….please add the proper facilities for parking and not wast time.

Wow, they’re not planning on putting in a parking garage? And Austin is the largest growing city in the state!!!

What about the students who do not make it there before 5:40pm?…Are we just gonna have to walk since the last suttle leaves at 5:40? In this heat? forget it. It’s simply ridiculous.

Because of the 17 percent spike in enrollment at Pinnacle this semester, the college expanded the new parking lot project. Original plans called for 200 additional spots; the project now includes approximately 438 new parking spaces. That will mean a total of more than 970 spaces at Pinnacle. The project team expects that will accommodate students, faculty, and staff even at peak times of the day.
In response to the question about the garage, a parking lot provides the most cost-effective means of expanding parking at Pinnacle. Constructing a garage costs about five times as much as a lot. The college has turned to garages in areas where space is limited, such as the Rio Grande Campus. In the case of Pinnacle, the college was able to acquire an additional 36.5 acres, ample room to construct a sizeable new lot.
