Austin Community College, together with St. Edward’s University, is co-sponsoring the second annual immigration conference to increase awareness of the facts and concerns surrounding this issue.

“Immigration, Education and Our Future Conference: A Review of Policy and Practice” will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, February 6, in the Multipurpose Room 8500 of the Eastview Campus 3401 Webberville Road. Registration is $30 per person, and lunch is included.

“This conference is a great opportunity to become informed about the immigration issue, what it means to Austin, and what impact it has on education,” says Richard Armenta, ACC associate vice president for student success.
