AUSTIN, Texas, February 23, 2009 – Austin Community College District invites families to celebrate the college’s 35th anniversary at the All-Access ACC open house 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at the Eastview Campus, 3401 Webberville Road.

All Access ACC is the college’s largest event, bringing ACC faculty and staff to one location to meet the community and showcase educational programs and services. Visitors can enjoy live performances, fun demonstrations, short classes, and games for all ages.

This year is significant because the college has been celebrating the 35th anniversary of its founding by looking backward and forward.

“ACC has become the second largest institution of higher learning in the region by providing valuable education and training opportunities in eight counties,” says Dr. Stephen B. Kinslow, president/CEO of ACC. “All Access ACC is an opportunity for Central Texans to see programs the college offers and have fun in a family-friendly environment.”

Live entertainment is planned throughout the day. Special guest performers SKYROCKET! will flash back to 1973 in honor of ACC’s founding year, while “Hip Hop Into College” transports visitors with contemporary music from local artists.
