ACC Students Win Advertising Awards

AUSTIN, Texas, March 10, 2009 – Two Austin Community College students won prestigious Addy Awards for their graphic design entries during this year’s competition hosted by Austin Advertising Federation.

Summer Teague-Strotkamp earned a Silver Addy in packaging for her work, “Martine’s Baked Goods.” Ryan Robbins earned a Bronze Addy in promotion/point of purchase for his “Drunken Sailor Ale.”

“We are very proud of Ryan and Summer and especially thankful to Adjunct Professor Meagan McKeeman,” says Priscilla Wicker, chair of the Visual Communication Department. “Their success is the result of their hard work throughout the graphic design program and the excellent instruction of the team of design instructors led by Gail Bayeta.”

Teague-Strotkamp and Robbins produced their projects in fall 2008 as part of their Design Communication II class with Adjunct Assistant Professor Meagan McKeeman.
The Addys were presented February 19.
