Construction Progress, May 22, 2009

Chasco, the site utilities sub-contactor, has begun work on-site.  Trenches are being dug for domestic water lines and sanitary sewer lines across the site.  Ranger is wrapping up excavation and finish grading of the site water detention pond.  The outflow structure construction for the pond will commence soon.

Building 1000 – The third floor level has been formed and poured with concrete.  The exterior third-floor columns are being framed this week.  The tallest concrete structure will be completed this week.  Spawglass is awaiting the delivery of structural steel that will be used to frame the rest of the third floor and roofs.  This construction will begin in July.  The first-level mechanical ductwork will begin soon.

Building 2000 – The foundation mud slabs have been poured, and the first-floor forming is being installed.  The first-floor level concrete will be poured this week for half of the building.

Building 3000 – The third-floor level has been formed and poured with concrete.  The exterior third-floor columns are being framed this week.  The tallest concrete structure will be completed this week.  Spawglass is awaiting the delivery of structural steel that will be used to frame the rest of the third floor and roofs.  This construction will begin in July.  The first level-mechanical ductwork will begin soon.

Building 5000 – The drilling of all piers has been completed.  Rebar cages are being placed in the piers, and concrete will be poured this week.

Building 9000 – The building foundation preparation work has been completed, below grade utilities have been installed and the grade beams are being excavated.  The rest of the concrete foundation is being formed and poured this week.

We have received comments from the City of Round Rock on Building 1000 and 3000 building permit submittals, and our design team is preparing re-submit responses.  We hope to have the permits issued in a couple weeks.  The building permit comments for Building 2000 and 5000 are expected from the city sometime this week.
