I find it rather ironic that ACC is helping businesses go green when the instituion keeps the Air conditioning at 70 degrees. We freeze in class. With Austin energy recommending that we increase the temperature on our thermostats by 2-3 degrees, ACC should follow that advice if they are going to brag about helping others go green.
thank you.

ACC attempts to maintain temperature settings at about 72 degrees during the hot months. This temperature has been found to provide a reasonably comfortable instructional setting, and minimize complaints from students and work orders to change settings. Unfortunately, thermostats are easily accessible and get changed regularly to suit individual preferences. Additionally, balancing the air flow, temperature, and heat load (i.e. how many people are in a room at any given time) is a constantly changing task. As you say, 70 is a bit chilly, and cooler than ACC intends it to be. ACC will be happy to look into a specific location if you would provide it to see what the problem is.
