ACC needs your help to choose a mascot! The mascot search team is visiting all seven ACC campuses to spread the word and give people a chance to vote on the spot. You can also play games and win prizes. The search committee and the pink bunny serving as “interim mascot” have already visited Cypress Creek, Eastview, and South Austin Campus – check out photos of all the fun on ACC’s Facebook page.
The mascot finalists are Bbhoggawacts, Blazers, River Bats, and Starblazers (click here for an explanation of the choices and the voting form). In just three days, more than 2,000 votes have been cast. The vast majority of voters have been students, but the entire community is invited to take part. Voting ends Friday, April 2.
Want to get involved in Mascot Madness? Stop by when the search committee visits your campus. The remaining dates are:
Rio Grande: Monday, March 29
Northridge: Tuesday, March 30
Riverside: Wednesday, March 31
Pinnacle: Thursday, April 1
Check it out from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If your campus visit has already passed, you can still vote on the mascot search web page. You can also learn about the research/focus group process that helped narrow the choices to the four finalists – and find out what happens after the vote ends.

I think the Mexican Tail Bat should be the mascot since that is now the Austin symbol. Plus we have the Congress Bridge that is the site for the Mexicantail Bats…
