ACC Hosts Mental Health & Wellness Fair and Workshops, April 13-16

The Austin Community College District is hosting a Mental Health & Wellness Fair at Rio Grande Campus on Tuesday, April 13, with workshops scheduled through the rest of the week.

The fair will be 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, on the front lawn of Rio Grande Campus. The event brings together college and community mental health and wellness resources, including health screenings, chair massage, acupressure demonstrations, and more.

The workshops, covering topics such as stress, weight management, and healthy relationships, are scheduled for April 13-16 at Rio Grande. Each campus library will also have health and wellness materials on display this week.

Healthy Relationships

This presentation will allow participants to understand what constitutes a healthy relationship and an unhealthy relationship. Participants will also learn what skills are needed to create a healthy relationship. After the presentation, the participants will be able to determine whether their relationships are healthy or abusive, how to address their partner, and where to access resources if the relationship is abusive.

Dealing with Students in Emotional Distress
