Diabetes ongoing Support Group for ACC Staff and Faculty:
Diabetes: Take Action! Diabetes has become an epidemic! This is a group for anyone who has diabetes or is interested in learning more about diabetes. The group will meet the 4th Friday of the month. HBC room 301.2, 12:30pm – 1:30pm. Sessions will include “What is Diabetes”, “What is all the fuss about food and diabetes”, “I have to get up and get moving?!”, “What does my medication really do?”

Tax Workshop: Did this year’s taxes bring you down? Prepare yourself for next year by attending “A Taxing Tax! Simplified.” An experienced Certified Public Accountant will explain tax documents, changes to the tax law, tax credits and the pros and cons of itemization. Bring your questions.
The workshop will be held Thursday, April 29 from 12pm – 1pm in HBC room 301.1.

Qualifying Life Events Reminder: During the plan year, a qualifying life event (QLE), such as marriage, divorce, or birth of a child, may allow you to make changes to insurance benefits within 31 days of the event. ERS has scheduled a feedback session in Austin on May 13th at ERS.
The 90 minute session starts at 4:00pm and ends at 5.30pm. Seating is limited and public comments are limited to attendees.
