Adjunct Faculty Compensation Plan Update
Information sessions will be held on the ACC campuses to share with you details of the new plan. Adjunct Faculty are encouraged to attend to learn more about the new compensation plan.

Retirement Workshop from Social Security Administration (WEP/GPO)
Valery Maercklein from the Social Security Administration will be here to discuss Pre-retirement issues and provide detailed training on WEP/GPO laws and calculations. Topics that will be covered during this session include: basic concept of SS Retirement, payments in our Society & solvency issues for SSA, how one becomes insured, how age affects your benefit amount, full retirement age and its background, benefit calculation, annual earning limits, services online with our website & how to file online, who else is eligible when you apply? (spouse & survivor), disability benefits, and Medicare enrollment.

Recommended ERS Cost Changes and Insurance Feedback Sessions
A Feedback session will be held in Austin on Thursday, May 13 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the ERS Auditorium at 200 E. 18th Street. Employees Retirement System (ERS) group insurance plan participants can share comments regarding potential changes to the insurance plan with ERS staff members during these feedback sessions. The ERS Board of Trustees meets on May 25, 2010 to consider these changes to address the insurance funding gap.
