The staff took home 16 awards for work published during the 2009-2010 academic year along with four recognitions for contests held during the October convention in Arlington.

The student journalists had an opportunity to attend workshops held by industry professionals, including some Pulitzer Prize winners. They also shared ideas with other community college journalists from throughout Texas.
