The ACC Choir performs Nov. 20 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Austin.
The Austin Community College District’s award-winning Choral Program is accepting new students for the spring semester. Auditions are under way and will continue through Friday, January 21. To reserve an audition time, contact Dr. Jim Shepherd, choir director, at [email protected] or (512) 223.4008.
ACC has three choral ensembles that meet at the following times:
- Mondays and Wednesdays, 11:45 a.m. – 1:20 p.m.
- Mondays, 7-9:30 p.m.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-7:10 p.m.
The Monday evening choir meets at downtown Austin’s First Baptist Church, and the other ensembles meet at Northridge Campus.
Auditions include basic vocal exercises; no other preparation is necessary. ACC’s Choral Program includes singers on all levels. Find more information at austincc.edu/choral.

Hi, I am interested in trying out but I have no formal training. I just like to sing. Would this be a problem?
