Accent's Award-winning Design

The Accent wins two national awards for design.

Austin Community College District students Karissa Rodriguez and Chris Scott have won two awards in the Best of Collegiate Design 18 national competition for an editorial design in ACC’s student newspaper, the Accent.

They captured fourth and fifth place honors for Headline Presentation and Editorial/Opinion Page categories, respectively. Their award- winning design will be published in the printed Best of Collegiate Design 18 book.

The competition is sponsored by the College Media Advisers association.

Rodriguez is the current editor-in-chief of the Accent newspaper and Scott, the paper’s former layout editor, serves as editor of the Accent website.
