All ACC campuses and centers will be closed Friday, February 4.
ACC continues to monitor the weather. Updates on Weekend College will be posted Friday by approximately 3 p.m. on the college homepage, Facebook, and Twitter.
After midnight Thursday evening and through the early morning hours of Friday, the weather took an unexpected turn for the worse. This caused a glaze of ice to form, with approximately ½ -1 inches of snow covering it, throughout Travis, Williamson, Hays, and other counties. The high today in the regional area is expected to be 31-32 degrees. In Austin, temperatures may reach 32-35 degrees. The ice glaze and snow likely will not melt until late afternoon. Refreezing will occur Friday evening.
The safety of students, faculty, and staff is ACC’s priority, and the college will continue to keep you informed.

I should have listened to the news this morning before I left for ACC at 6am. I have driven on snow, ice, and a combination of both before; however, I encountered numerous problems this morning traversing Unversity Blvd in Round Rock, TX.
Please…please stay home and stay indoors for your safety as well as the safety of others.
