Open up your student planners to pencil in time for fun and engaging activities that will entertain as well as educate. The Austin Community College’s Arts and Humanities Division has organized a variety of stage and screen events open to the public as well as the ACC community.
The highlight this spring will be Carnival ah!, a two-day arts and humanities festival. This year’s theme is “ASL Rocks! Ah!” and will feature the addition of events created by, and for, the Deaf community in celebration of the recent opening of the Gallaudet University Regional Center at ACC.
“Carnival ah! has been a huge success for two years, and now we are finding a way to join forces with the American Sign Language/Interpreter Preparation Program. And the drama, dance, creative writing, and art departments keep bringing exciting and challenging programming,” says Lyman Grant dean of Arts and Humanities.
“This is going to be a great semester.”
