President’s Announcements

INTERNET UPGRADE DURING SPRING BREAK

During Spring Break on Monday, March 14th, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., IT will be performing a major upgrade to ACC’s internet connection point.  This work will provide better reliability and increased intranet bandwidth to faculty and staff. During this maintenance window, all external data communications with ACC will be down.  This includes access to ACC’s Web servers, VPN access, and access to email accounts not converted to Gmail.  Additionally, internal telephone service may be interrupted for the south campuses.  All functionality will be restored no later than 5:00 p.m.

Converting to Gmail for ACC

All Austin Community College faculty and staff are invited to make the transition to Google Applications and begin enjoying a robust email system. ACC selected Google because it integrates fully with the email system we already provide to our students and provides a complete package for email, calendaring, and collaboration.

Information Technology (IT) has set up a website to help you convert to Google Apps on your computer and learn about the new features. Visit the Google Apps website for a variety of information or click directly to see the information below:
