ACC Faculty Nominated For Excellence Awards

“Honoring talented ACC faculty with this prestigious award is a great way we can thank these dedicated, hard-working professors for all they do for our students, and for ACC as a whole,” says Terry Mouchayleh, director of professional development and evaluation programs.

ACC deans nominated the following faculty members for the 2011 award:

  • Marilyn Burke, Professor of Developmental Reading
  • Christie Carr, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Human Development
  • Jim Hanson, Professor of Computer Studies
  • Cynthia Lovick, Professor of Accounting
  • David Lydic, Professor of English
  • Michael Martino, Adjunct Professor of Computer Studies
  • Veronique Mazet, Adjunct Professor of French
  • Lisa McCartney, Department Chair and Associate Professor of Pharmacy
  • Grant Potts, Associate Professor of Religion
  • Brian Voss, Professor of Accounting

NISOD’s Teaching Excellence Awards recognize more than 1,000 professors annually from over 700 community colleges worldwide.

Recipients will receive a teaching excellence medallion and an awards booklet showcasing their achievements during the NISOD conference in Austin later this spring.

Founded in 1978, NISOD is dedicated to the professional development of college faculty, and to the continued improvement of teaching and learning, with the ultimate goal of student success.
