The Austin Community College District’s Center for Public Policy and Political Studies (CPPPS) will host its third annual fundraiser 6 p.m. Monday, April 25 at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center (1900 University Ave.) featuring Texas U.S. Sen. John Cornyn as keynote speaker.

CPPPS provides award-winning programs, educational conferences, and innovative events designed to encourage political and civic engagement among ACC students.

“The dinner is a great opportunity to show support for the center and to meet the students who have benefited from the center’s many activities,” says Kerry Cammack, CPPPS board member who co-chairs the event with former Texas Gov. Mark White. Â “We are thrilled to have Senator Cornyn as our keynote, as he is truly committed to public education and helping students reach their full potential.”

Additionally, ACC President/CEO Dr. Stephen B. Kinslow will be presented the CPPPS “Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Award” for his decades-long service to ACC and its students.
