Senator John Cornyn Keynotes CPPPS Fundraising Dinner, April 25

John Cornyn CPPPS 2011The Austin Community College District’s Center for Public Policy and Political Studies (CPPPS) will host its third annual fundraiser 6 p.m. Monday, April 25 at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center (1900 University Ave.) featuring Texas U.S. Sen. John Cornyn as keynote speaker.

CPPPS provides award-winning programs, educational conferences, and innovative events designed to encourage political and civic engagement among ACC students.

“The dinner is a great opportunity to show support for the center and to meet the students who have benefited from the center’s many activities,” says Kerry Cammack, CPPPS board member who co-chairs the event with former Texas Gov. Mark White. Â “We are thrilled to have Senator Cornyn as our keynote, as he is truly committed to public education and helping students reach their full potential.”

Additionally, ACC President/CEO Dr. Stephen B. Kinslow will be presented the CPPPS “Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Award” for his decades-long service to ACC and its students.
