ACC is reducing its impact on the environment and sharing an opportunity to ride around Austin for free this summer. The Green Pass Program allows ACC students, faculty, and staff to ride any Capital Metro bus and the MetroRail. Summer semester passes are valid May 9 through August 21.

“The Green Pass Program is a great incentive to get around to all ACC campuses for no extra money – saving gas money and demonstrating the importance of public transportation for our environment,” says Andy Kim, ACC director of environmental stewardship.

You can pick up your Green Pass starting today at any campus Cashier Office with an Employee or Student ID card. In an agreement with Capital Metro, ACC pays a discounted rate per ride. The college’s sustainability fee and employee parking permit fees cover program costs.

In order to claim a Green Pass, students must have registered and paid for summer credit classes or set up a payment plan.
