Benefits

Verify your address in ERS
Prior to annual enrollment each year, Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) mails personal enrollment statements (PES) to all members. To ensure you get yours, please verify your address in ERS OnLine www.ers.state.tx.us. Updating your address with ACC through Employee Online Services does not update your address with ERS. ERS must be updated separately. Also, this PES will show the employees responsible for certain employer-paid benefits like dental, optional life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment; these benefits are still paid for by the College. Long-term disability is also paid by the college for all full-time employees through UNUM, therefore it will show up as “waived” on the PES.

Log in to ERS OnLine from the ERS homepage www.ers.state.tx.us by clicking the “Sign In” button in the upper left corner. You may need to register your account in ERS OnLine if you have not logged in more than a year. Registration is easy and can be done by following the instructions when clicking on the “Need to Register?” link under the log in fields.  Once logged in, click My Personal Information to verify your address and make any necessary changes. Failure to have an accurate address on file with ERS could delay or prevent you from receiving important insurance information.

Annual ERS Benefits Enrollment: July 11-August 5, 2011
Annual Enrollment (AE) for Plan Year 2012 is July 11 through August 5, 2011. ERS has made it easier to access your benefit information and make Annual Enrollment changes online. You do not need to do anything to change your benefits unless you are:

  • Making a change to your Insurance Benefits
  • Enrolling in Tex Flex Reimbursement account for the first time.

ERS has enhanced ERS OnLine to provide more security for your account information. This enhancement requires you to register for an ERS OnLine account and create a new Username and Password. The registration process is an easy, step-by-step process that takes just a few minutes. To begin go to www.ers.state.tx.us and click the “Sign In” button in the upper left corner. If you do not register now, you will have to register before you can make your Annual Enrollment changes.

HR Benefits will host our ACC Annual Enrollment Fair and presentation on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. The major changes will be discussed at this meeting. We will also be available at each campus to assist employees during Annual Enrollment (no presentation will be given at the campuses). Additional information can be located on the HR Website in the future.

If you are not available to attend the ACC Annual Enrollment Fair on August 2nd, here is a link to all the state-wide ERS Annual Enrollment Events https://www.ers.state.tx.us/Events/AE_Fairs/. Please feel free to attend any fair or view an available webinar. Please note: the non-ACC AE fairs will be general information; it may not have specific information regarding the benefits ACC pays for its employees. They will have general ERS group benefit information that relates to all state employees.
