TIPS (The Information Portal System)

TIPS, OIEA’s data portal, was developed to provide an interactive system for accessing data from the OIEA data warehouse.  TIPS currently provides access to student and course data, including withdrawals, withdrawal reasons, grades, and student performance in sequenced courses.  In addition, TIPS contains course survival charts that shows where the leaks are in the student success pipeline from the first day of class to the last day of class and “heat maps” that provide a color-coded image of student patterns, by course.  OIEA is in the process of developing enrollment, transfer, and graduation modules for the portal.

TIPS can be accessed at: http://www.austincc.edu/oiepub/portal/main.html.  Login is not required for summary-level data.  However, for disaggregated data by student characteristics, you must have login access.  To request login access, click on the “OIEA Portal Request Form” button on the TIPS page, complete, and submit the form.

Fact Book 2010-2011 (Posted 06-17-2011)

Annual publication containing college-wide data and statistics that includes, but is not limited to, credit degrees and certificates awarded, student headcount, semester credit hours, contact hours, faculty, staffing table personnel, and facilities information.
