General Assembly 2011
Mark your calendar for ACC’s General Assembly 2011 on Friday, August 19 at 8:00 a.m. It’s at the Hyatt Regency Hotel downtown, 208 Barton Springs.

The morning session includes current state of the college remarks from Dr. Steve Kinslow and an overview of ACC’s future from incoming president, Dr. Richard Rhodes. As always, professional development workshops and sessions will be offered in the afternoon at Highland Business Center.

Benefits

Annual Enrollment ends August 5th 2011 at 7pm.
Annual Enrollment was held July 11th through August 5th, 2011.

All changes made to your benefits will become effective September 1, 2011. You may access your benefits on-line through www.ers.state.tx.us during the plan year. It is now even easier to access your benefit information online! ERS has created a tutorial explaining how to log into your account, view your benefits summary and make changes.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the campus offices, who assisted with our visits. Without campus support it would not be possible. We also would like to thank all ACC employees for their participation and interests during this Annual Enrollment.

Remember, Annual Enrollment takes place every summer and this is your time to make necessary changes to your insurance benefits and review what you currently have

State Kids Insurance Program Ending
State funding for the State Kids Insurance Program (SKIP) will end on August 31, 2011. State employees who are covering their children in SKIP can now apply for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or Children’s Medicaid. Both programs let employees pay reduced premiums for their children age 18 or younger. For more information about CHIP and Children’s Medicaid, please visit http://www.chipmedicaid.org/.

Employees are reminded that ACC systems may be used for business related reasons and to conduct business in accordance with ACC policies and procedures.

Employees may review the appropriate use cell phones, email, telephone, fax and the voice mail account in Administrative Rule 3.01.003. Violation of the policy my result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Please use ACC resources responsibly and for business related reasons.
