Statway Offers Developmental Math Students a Faster Alternative

ACC is offering a unique opportunity for students to satisfy developmental math requirements and earn credit for MATH 1342 (Elementary Statistics) in just two semesters. This is one semester less than the usual sequence.

The Statway program emphasizes learning statistics with real-life scenarios. The first classes begin this fall; registration continues through August 17.

Statway students complete MATD 0365 (Mathematics for Statistics I) in the fall and continue in spring with MATD 0166 (Mathematics for Statistics II, a one-hour course) as well as a special section of MATH 1342 (Elementary Statistics).

To be eligible, you must:

  • Have completed MATD 0330 (Basic Math Skills) or placed out of it on the COMPASSÂ test. (Students without developmental math requirements are also welcome.)
  • Plan to complete the two-semester program.

Statway sections of MATD 0365 are offered at Northridge and Rio Grande campuses this fall. Departmental approval is required to register. Interested students should email Dr. Mary Parker at [email protected] and include their student ID number.
