Agency Administrator Martha Johnson told students about federal initiatives that would enhance sustainability features in government buildings and promote alternative energy. Students shared their experiences helping Austin residents lower their energy bills as part of their renewable energy studies.
“This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to see first-hand how renewable energy is changing the way America operates,” says Alberto Quinonez, department chair for Electronics and Advanced Technologies. “ACC prepares students to be on the forefront of those changes.”

Students interested in renewable energy may attend the Renewable Energy Student Association meeting Friday, September 16, at Riverside Campus (12 p.m., Building S, Room 103).

Martha Johnson ran into the RESA Election day booth area and we got to talk briefly. She was interest in RESA and asked how many members RESA had, I replied that there were 142 STUDENT members…but actually have more members than 142 if including non-students who are professionals supporting RESA.
