Elgin Residents Get Registration Round Up

Austin Community College is holding a Registration Round Up for Elgin residents interested in taking college classes in the spring semester.

The Round Up is 4-7 p.m. December 6-7 at the ACC Elgin Center, 902 W. Second St. Admission, assessment testing, financial aid, and registration assistance will be available.

The ACC Elgin Center is offering the following spring schedule of classes:

• BIOL 1309 – Life on Earth

• GOVT 2305 – United States Government

• GOVT 2306 – Texas State and Local Government

• HIST 1301 – United States History I

• MATH 1314 – College Algebra

• MATD 0330 – Basic Math Skills

• MATD 0370 – Elementary Algebra

• PSYC 2314 – Human Growth and Development

• SOCI 1301 – Introduction to Sociology

• SPAN 1511 – Spanish I

• SPCH 1315 – Public Speaking

Tuition is $57 per credit hour for in-district students, or $219 for a 3-credit course, including fees. Senior citizens (65+) may enroll in up to six tuition-free credit hours, or two typical classes, per semester when space is available.

The college skills assessment is part of the admissions process and requires reservations and payment. The cost is $10 per section or $29 for the full assessment. Call (512) 223.9165 to speak with an assessment specialist about your testing needs.
