New Financial Planning Course Offered This Fall

This fall, ACC will begin offering a financial planning class that will help students better understand how to manage their money.

Fundamental Financial Planning (BUSG 1193) will prepare students to handle their financial responsibilities. Topics include how to make a monthly budget, using lines of credit, and how to save money and prioritize expenses.

The one-credit, 8-week course is open to all students. It is recommended for financial aid students, as a portion of the class is dedicated to helping students manage financial aid obligations.

“This class offers a great opportunity to create the foundation for a more successful life,” says James Crane, adjunct professor of real estate, who will teach a section of the course. “When students leave this class, they will be more confident in their financial affairs and about saving for the future.”

Fall registration is now open to current and former students. New student registration begins June 11. To register for BUSG 1193 or other classes, visit austincc.edu/register.
