Raymond Hartfield was an active leader in the Round Rock community.

A memorial service is scheduled for June 30 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Round Rock (1004 N. Mays St.).

Hartfield was a longtime leader and education advocate in the Round Rock community, co-chairing the “ACCtion 4 Education” annexation steering committee that helped bring Round Rock into the ACC District. He also was active with the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees and the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce, as well as many other local organizations. In 2010, he received the Chamber of Commerce’s Citizen of the Year Award.
