New Year Brings New Opportunities for Continued Learning

ACC supports employees who want to expand their knowledge and education, and is offering new opportunities to save on tuition costs.

Employees who don’t already have a college degree and want to complete an associate degree can obtain a tuition waiver for ACC credit classes taken toward the degree. To be eligible, employees must have one year of full-time employment.

Those wanting to take credit or Continuing Education courses for personal enrichment or professional development are eligible for tuition vouchers. Employees must have 180 days of full-time employment for eligibility. Full-time employees are eligible for three vouchers per year once they reach 180 days of service; part-time employees are eligible for two vouchers.

Finally, the college offers a tuition reimbursement plan for employees who have a degree and want to pursue advanced or graduate coursework. Those wanting to take advantage of the program must have three years of full-time employment with the college.

Tuition waivers and tuition reimbursement requests will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline for obtaining a waiver for fall classes is Friday, Sept. 21, and employees can begin submitting applications on Monday, Sept. 17. Visit the Educational Advancement webpage for a waiver form or for more information, or contact Nicole Bell at [email protected].
