ACC Hosts Exhibit, Reception for Austin Artist Steve Brudniak

ACC’s Art Department will exhibit the work of Austin artist Steve Brudniak from Sept. 6 to Oct. 19 at the Kramer Gallery at Rio Grande Campus (1212 Rio Grande St.). A reception for the exhibit will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery.

In the exhibit, “Back from Samsara,” Brudniak displays his highly-crafted assemblage sculptures that feature active science elements and other unusual characteristics. Included in the exhibit is Brudniak’s “Astrogeneris Mementos,” the first assemblage sculpture to be taken aboard the International Space Station.

“We are very honored and excited to have the nationally renowned Steve Brudniak as our gallery’s first-ever guest artist,” says Julie Issacson, art studios and exhibitions specialist.
