ACC President/CEO Dr. Richard Rhodes recently met with Dr. Mark David Milliron, chancellor of Western Governors University Texas (WGU) for a conversation about steering students to complete their degree or certificate. The two said the completion agenda encourages students to build momentum and navigate the best path to achieving their life goals. Listen to the conversation here.

Other topics they discussed include:

• K-12 education: Dr. Rhodes says it’s important to reach into K-12 classrooms and have students experience the rigor of college coursework in order to develop the belief they are college material.
• Finish to Go Further: This new partnership between ACC and WGU allows ACC students who graduate with an associate degree to enroll at WGU with a 5 percent tuition discount and waived enrollment fees. “Programs like this are critical to guiding students toward a bachelor’s degree,” Dr. Rhodes says.
