Artist Amado Peña recently donated a number of his pieces to Austin Community College.

Renowned Southwest artist Amado Peña will visit ACC following his generous donation of artwork to the college. As part of an artist-in-residence event, Peña will set up a studio from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at Highland Business Center (5930 Middle Fiskville Rd., Room 502). Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to observe and converse with Peña as he paints and view the donated lithographs.

“Amado is a great friend to ACC, and this is a wonderful opportunity to get an inside look at the artistic process,” says Dr. Richard Rhodes, ACC president/CEO. “I invite all of our students and employees to stop by and enjoy this unique experience.”
