The college expresses condolences to the family of Nathan Parker, who passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012.
Parker was an adjunct professor in the Biology Department at the Rio Grande Campus and had been with ACC since August 2006. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Microbiology and a Ph.D. in Genetics, and was a member of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). He is survived by his wife, Kari Commagere.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Weed-Corley-Fish funeral home. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. View his obituary or share memories.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America Capital Area Council or to Texas Cave Management Association.
