ACCESS News Recognized in Austin Chronicle’s Best of Austin

ACCESS News, a half-hour news and civic affairs program co-produced by Austin Community College, has been named “Best Hands-On News” in the Austin Chronicle’s Best of Austin 2012. The publication is out now.

ACC teamed up with the civic learning organization Civication Inc. to produce the show, which is designed for Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing viewers. The program is presented in American Sign Language, English, and closed captioning.

“We are proud to see the community respond so positively to ACCESS News,” says Lyman Grant, dean of Arts and Humanities. “ACCESS News has proven to be a quality program that inspires intelligent discussions on topics relevant for all viewers.”
