Charitable Campaign Contributions Set New Record

The ACC community contributed a record $71,542.24 to this year’s State Employee Charitable Campaign, surpassing last year’s total by almost 24 percent.

“Our employees once again have opened their hearts in response to the needs of others,” says Geraldine Tucker, ACC vice president of human resources. “Enhancing the communities we serve is part of ACC’s mission and is a priority of our employees. Our employees’ response in this campaign affirms that commitment.”

The October campaign collected donations for several local and national charities, including the Capital Area Food Bank, the American Red Cross of Central Texas, Manos de Cristo, March of Dimes, and Habitat for Humanity. A total of $15,493 was donated to the ACC Foundation for student scholarships.

The Rio Grande Campus raised the most contributions with $13,142.64, followed by Highland Business Center with $10,938.07. The Pinnacle Campus raised $10,783.32, while the Riverside Campus raised $10,145.58.
